When I was 13 and living in Russia, being home-schooled gave me the opportunity to learn in ways that truly interested me. At the same time, I was obsessed with “Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” even though there were no new seasons available in my country. To keep up, I started reading episode summaries and transcripts in English. I didn’t mean to learn the language, but I did. This approach made absorbing new words feel natural and enjoyable because I was diving into something I loved.With the method I’m proposing, AI takes this personal interest-driven learning even further. For example, if you’re passionate about music, the AI can curate song lyrics, interviews, and articles related to your favorite artists in the language you’re learning, gradually introducing new vocabulary and phrases relevant to the music world. You can start with partial translations of lyrics and interviews, then move on to more complex analyses. The AI adapts the content to match your skill level, ensuring each new word or concept is seamlessly integrated into your learning process. This personalized approach keeps you engaged and motivated—just as reading Buffy transcripts helped me learn English effortlessly. By leveraging AI to tailor the learning experience to your passions, this method makes acquiring a new language more effective and enjoyable than traditional techniques.(Bilingual text example in the left column.)
